Middleton’s culinary scene is an eclectic mix of down-to-earth diners and upscale taverns. For more than 30 years, Capital Brewery has been a staple in Middleton. This endearing German-style brewery has an on-site Bier Garten that is perfect for summer afternoons on the patio with a pilsner. For a bit of retro flair, head to Hubbard Avenue Diner and Bakery. This classic diner is dressed in vintage garb and serving up old-fashioned, homestyle cooking and sweet treats.

Middleton’s shopping hub is Greenway Station, an indoor mall with top retailers and a selection of delectable eateries. Other boutiques include Journeyman Co., a men’s apparel hotspot, and feminine apparel and home decor atelier, Chauette.

Things to Do

With a community as active and engaged as Middleton’s, it’s no surprise that the local social calendar is typically overflowing with fun community events. Each summer since 1964, the Middleton Good Neighbor Festival has hosted a variety of events. This festival is noted for its carnival with games, 5k run/walk, parade, arts and crafts fair, and more. Additionally, Middleton awards outstanding citizens during the festival with the Good Neighbor Award, an accolade to celebrate their contributions to the community.

Middleton residents also get to take advantage of the wealth of stunning outdoor spaces nearby. Pheasant Branch Conservancy spans over 160 acres and has protected Wisconsin’s natural wetland ecosystem. Biking and walking trails take guests through the nature preserve, and there is an abundance of native wildlife that calls these waters and marshlands home. If you prefer to experience the outdoors with a golf club in hand, head over to Pleasant View Golf Course. This scenic hilltop course boasts three unique courses that challenge golfers, creating a fun and engaging round for all skill levels. Pleasant View Golf Course also has a driving range to practice your swing. Lakeview Park is a well-manicured urban green space with a Splash Pad for cooling off during the summer. Lakeview Park also offers a playground and several fields for sports, as well as plenty of grassy knolls for an afternoon picnic.
